TE ladies continued to have an active season throughout the month of August into September!! Rev3 Maine was the official race for the Team Envision race series on August 25th and had 5 ladies racing in divisions from the Oly aquabike to the complete half ironman distance (congrats Libby on completing your first 1/2IM)!! It was a gorgeous day up in Old Orchard Beach, and despite cold water temperatures (60 degrees in the open ocean) the race was extremely well organized and once the shock of the temperature wore off it was a perfect day for it. Congrats to Z for winning first in her age group in the She Jams Oly charity subdivision!
Closer to home, on that same day lots of folks raced the Sun Multisport Cranberry Oly Triathlon in Lakeville, MA, with TE represented by 13 members!! This was a landmark race for
several people, whether for marking a first comfortable open water swim or for meeting a challenging time goal.
Finally, the last race in the TE race series was the Title IX all women’s race by our friends at Max Performance. A definite favorite among TEers with its relaxed atmosphere, this race logged 7 athletes and 8 volunteers/cowbell ringers.
In addition to all those events, we had athletes representing non-tri events ranging from Tough Mudder to 50k trail races…and especially with the triathlon season winding down we’re looking to extend our horizons to fun events like the Electric run, and don’t forget the end of season potluck on October 27th!! Thanks for another great season of racing and training, from the swim clinics with Coach Megan to track workouts with Coach Mary and countless training rides and weekday evening walden swims, 2013 was a great year to be in Team EnVision!!
