So Long, Winter 2016 – Thanks for the Memories!

Team EnVision enjoyed an active off-season!

In December, Melissa led us on a running tour of Boston’s holiday lights. Our route took us through downtown, Boston Common, Boston Public Garden, the Commonwealth Avenue Mall, Faneuil Hall, and Christopher Columbus Park. We capped off the evening with dinner and drinks.

Several Team EnVision members participated in the Marathon Sports Winter Warrior Challenge. We ran (or walked) at least one mile outdoors every day in January!

In March, Team EnVision gathered for a race planning session. We chatted about races and got started on planning the new season while enjoying some wine, cheese, and good company!

While Winter 2016 was a lot of fun, Team EnVision is excited about the arrival of spring and outdoor training!

Splish, Splash…it’s Swim Practice!

Last Thursday marked the beginning of swim practice and if you weren’t there we certainly missed you!  Coach Tony had us swimming our paces up and down the lanes of the Condon Pool in South Boston giving us a great workout.  Here are some photos, though it’s hard to tell who’s who with all the caps and goggles. 🙂

Swim and Indoor Track Reminder…

This week is going to be exciting with the start of both Indoor Track and Swim practice!

BUT……Ladies, you have to have paid your 2012 membership dues in order to participate because of our insurance liabilities.  If you’re still not sure you want to renew just yet you can still run track, but you’ll pay the higher non-TE price and use the punch card system we’ve been emailing about.  Just show up this Wednesday (7:30pm, MIT indoor track) and Tony will give you the card when you pay.  3 sessions for $20 or 7 sessions for $40

But, for swim practice (Thursdays, 6:45-8:30pm, Condon Pool, South Boston) there are NO exceptions. Water, potential drowning…those insurance people are picky…you have to be a current 2012 TE member to participate.  We’ll give you this first week as a “freebie” since most of us are still recovering from the “holiday-new year-coma” , but after that….NO PAY-NO PLAY.

Sorry ladies, we have to be fair to everyone that has already paid their dues for this season and to comply with our insurance policy too.  These will be great, fun, coached workouts with USAT and ITCA certified coach, Tony Rich, so why wouldn’t you want to pay your dues and join us for another great season?!  🙂

Hope to see you all at practice!!

Swim Practice starts next month!

If you’ve taken a break from swimming or just need to kick it up a notch get ready because it’s time for swim practice to get started again!  And with the great addition of Coach Tony this season you can be sure that practices will be awesome!

When: First practice will be Thursday, Jan. 12 and every Thursday after that through May.
Time: 6:45pm-8:30pm
Where: Condon Community Center, 200 D Street, South Boston  Click here to see it on Google maps.
Cost: $25 for a season pass to the center.  So, even once our swim practices are done you are free to use their pool for the rest of the  year during their open swim times.

Hope to see you there!

Practice is open to only active TE members for insurance and liability reasons.  So, if it sounds like something you’d enjoy, along with all of our other great training and fun, please visit our membership page and join our team today!
